Job description

**Location:** Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite + Remote) **Duration:** Contract through August 2026 (Potential Extension) **Hours:** Up to 352 Hours | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST **Interview Mode:** TBD We are seeking an experienced **Senior Technical Project Manager** to support enterprise **data engineering, analytics, and AI adoption initiatives** within a complex technology environment. This role is ideal for candidates with deep experience leading **data, cloud, analytics, and business intelligence programs**, while effectively coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, business, and executive stakeholders. The selected candidate will support a **technical data engineering and AI adoption program**, partnering closely with leadership, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to manage deliverables, align priorities, and ensure successful execution of strategic technology initiatives. ### Key Responsibilities * Lead and coordinate **technical projects and programs** involving **data engineering, analytics, cloud, and AI initiatives**. * Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define **project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, risks, and success metrics**. * Support enterprise **data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing efforts** from planning through implementation. * Facilitate coordination across **engineering, analytics, AI, and business teams** to ensure project alignment and successful delivery. * Track and manage project deliverables, dependencies, timelines, risks, and escalations. * Translate complex technical concepts into clear business communication for leadership and executive audiences. * Collaborate with **data engineers, developers, analysts, architects, and business partners** to drive execution and issue resolution. * Manage project plans, status reporting, resource planning, forecasting, and financial tracking. * Maintain project documentation including **charters, schedules, lessons learned, and governance materials**. * Support Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies and participate in planning and coordination activities. * Monitor and communicate project health, milestones, blockers, and overall program progress to stakeholders. * Assist with AI and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical implementation. ### Required Qualifications * **10+ years** of experience leading **technical projects or programs in data, analytics, cloud, or enterprise technology environments**. * **10+ years** of experience managing **data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives** from planning through delivery. * **10+ years** of experience leading **business intelligence, big data, or enterprise analytics programs**. * **10+ years** of experience supporting **healthcare data initiatives**; familiarity with standards such as **FHIR, CCDA, and HL7** is highly desirable. * Strong working knowledge of **SQL and database technologies** to support technical planning, estimation, and issue resolution. * Proven ability to lead **cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines**. * Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to **business and executive audiences**. * Experience with **project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial reporting**. * Proficiency with project management tools such as **Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet**. * Strong documentation skills including **project plans, charters, schedules, and governance artifacts**. * Working knowledge of **cloud platforms, enterprise data systems, or enterprise applications**. * Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently. ### Preferred Qualifications * **PMP certification is required and should be clearly listed on the resume** (proof may be requested). * Familiarity with **regulated environments**, including **security, compliance, governance, and healthcare data standards**. * Experience supporting **AI, advanced analytics, digital transformation, or enterprise modernization programs**. * Understanding of **IT architecture, SDLC, enterprise technologies, and information management principles**. * Strong consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. * Relevant certifications such as **PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, or Cloud Architecture (Azure/AWS/GCP)** are a plus. * Healthcare industry experience preferred. ### Work Location & Requirements * **Hybrid work schedule** based in **Austin, TX**. * Candidates must be able to work during standard business hours (**Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST**). * Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required with prior approval. * Any travel, parking, or living expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate/vendor. ### Additional Information All work products created during the engagement will be considered **works made for hire**.
